Introduction
Hey guys, it’s summer. Peaches. The Olympics. Superhero movies. Feeling guilty about not wearing sunscreen. And now… Volume 4 of the Quarterly.
Summer is never as good once you hit that period of life when the months-long summer vacation is no longer possible. Those hot summer days stuck in your office when you start to wonder whether, maybe, you really do want to be a teacher after all, or perhaps it’s time to go to grad school – it’s a rough season for quarterlifers in the workforce.
On the upside – most of us don’t have to worry about how to entertain the kids while school is out, and you can eat as much ice cream as your conscience allows you, with no input from your mother (we hope). So take an afternoon off and follow our instructions below…
Recommended reading instructions for Volume 4 of the Quarterlife Quarterly:
Turn on Kate Brook’s “A playlist for your youth.” Muddle mint leaves with superfine sugar and a splash of water in an old-fashioned glass. Fill with ice, top with bourbon, and garnish with sprig of mint. Sip while sitting on your porch (or fire escape) and enjoy this edition of the Quarterlife Quarterly.
